Parents say 'no cat' for 7-year-old girl's birthday, but the cat distribution system has something else in mind, surprising her with a kitty who chooses both her and her parents, forcing them to accept their daughter's new best friend

The cat distribution system and fate work hand in hand, and there's just no stopping them.

She was coming home from summer camp when a kitty ran right up to her in the backyard. She's 7-years-old, a nascent and innocent age. We've all been 7, and we know how the little things really matter. In Reddit's r/CatDistributionSystem the unthinkable can happen. It's a dream come true to get a kitty for a birthday gift when you're a little girl, but originally these parents said no. Her second choice was a Nintendo Switch, which she got. Little did she know her disappointment about not getting a cat wouldn't last for long because now she got both! The kitty ran up to her and the pair of them immediately started snuggling. It was only a week ago that she asked for a cat. They put out food and water for her and went to pet her every 30 minutes or so. The kitty cried outside and was waiting on the little girl when she woke up. They named her "Miss Elliot," and she'll be getting wet cat food and a vet visit.

It's just a matter of time before the cat distribution system gets you too! As fate would have it, this little girl deserved the kitty. It's extra special to see that her parents are going with the flow about it instead of doubling down on a no. Read the full story below.

It's actually incredible to see how life works out sometimes. Through the ups and downs, thick and thin, the ebb and flow of sadness and confusion that is ever present with existence there's always something positive to get us through the bad times. This really reminds me of how I got my cat. It absolutely felt like fate. I was also wanting a pet for a while, and was walking home in the rain one night. I heard some distance meowing and went towards it. Then I saw him!
